C 2 Shore delivers top quality marine upholstery

After the many failed attempts by Chase Camacho and Florida Yacht Interiors, we finally have found a company who can deliver quality work.

What we wanted, what we paid for, what we got… Finally!

Jeremy at C-2-Shore did a great job. He took his time and did a fantastic job. We have a very high opinion of C-2-Shore and recommend them to anyone looking for this type work. Now we want him to do the Pilot House. And, yes, I’m sitting on these cushions as I type this and they really look and feel great. No more bottoming out every time we sit down.

Valentine’s Interior Workrooms — Stidd Seat Redux

Scott Valentine at Valentine’s Interior Workrooms did wonders with our old Stidd helm seat.

It’s a great seat and very expensive, but we didn’t like the color purple. We wanted a more neutral color, but to buy a new seat would have been over $5000.00. So it stayed purple for a few years.

Until we met Scott. Between Scott and our friend Capt. Will Finlay, we now have what we wanted and fairly inexpensive.

Will took on the task of breaking it down and having everything metal that was purple, powder coated black.

Scott took on the reupholster assignment and did a good job.

The Color Purple is no more.

We have a good opinion of Scott. He did a good job, a bit slow, but we weren’t on a schedule so it didn’t matter. We do recommend his work., as a matter of fact, he just finished the two Stidds on the former Istaboa, which is now Sapphire. Talked to Dick a few days ago and he was happy with the reupholster.

Florida Yacht Interiors

We are truly disgusted with the job done by Chase Camacho and Florida Yacht Interiors. After 3 tries in 6 months to properly fabricate these seat cushions correctly, we got tired of often having no seats to sit on, of FYI not meeting deadlines; frustrated with our seats, again, coming back misshapen and not fitting,  we finally gave up.
The proof of FYI’s work is in the pictures below.
What we contracted Florida Yacht Interiors to do and what we thought we were paying for.
Unfortunately, the pic below is what we got.
What we got
——————–
Again, the pic below is what we used to convey to FYI what we wanted done.

And again, the pics below are what he brought us back. This shot was the best attempt of the three.

and this…

We paid Mr. Camacho off and sent him on his way. We hope to never see him again. We paid him his premium price because he was supposed to deliver a high quality product. Our opinion is that he didn’t, he didn’t even deliver a near quality product… They just don’t fit. The lack of detail should be an embarrassment to FYI, but probably not. I did ask him if he wanted to put these pictures on his website. He just laughed. I didn’t.
So our opinion of Florida Yacht Interiors is a very negative one.  He did do an adequate job on the barrel chairs and bar stools. Passable, but not that good either.
My bad for hiring him. That is not opinion, that is fact.
Here is their website… Florida Yacht Interiors… It’s annoying also. (again, my opinion)

Here’s to safe and happy cruises.

Cheers,

Bob
